Pasi Heino appointed Acting Managing Director of Sokli
He has until now served as Project Director for the Sokli project.
The Board of Directors of Sokli has appointed M.Sc. (geology) Pasi Heino as Acting Managing Director of Sokli Oy. He will be supported by a seven-member Leadership Team.
“From the Board’s perspective, we considered it important to clarify the organizational structure and ensure the prerequisites for the next phase of the Sokli mining project. The Sokli team has done excellent work, and Pasi’s appointment as Acting Managing Director was a natural solution. Sokli has an outstanding team, which will achieve great things,” says Kari Vyhtinen, Chair of the Board of Sokli.

Sokli Oy is advancing the Sokli mining project in Savukoski, Eastern Lapland. The Sokli deposit is globally significant and, in addition to phosphate and iron, contains rare earth elements as well as manganese, vermiculite, niobium and copper. Utilising these resources would strengthen Finland’s and Europe’s self-sufficiency in raw materials.
